The KTI Impact Awards 2022 will take place on 1st December 2022 and will be presented across four categories:
- The Commercialisation Impact Award recognises knowledge transfer success that has come about through licensing from a university or other research performing organisation to an existing company OR success that has come about through the creation of a spin-out company from an Irish publicly funded research organisation.
- The Engagement Impact Award is presented to examples of knowledge transfer success arising from Irish publicly-funded research performing organisations and companies working together through collaborative research or research consultancy.
- The Future Forward Impact Award recognises the fact that in some cases there may be the promise of impact, but the impact may take a little longer to prove. Entried to this category can be examples of knowledge transfer success arising from spin-out company creation, collaborative research, licensing, research consultancy.
- The People's Choice Impact Award is selected by audience vote on the evening of the Impact Awards ceremony from the finalists shortlisted across each of the above categories.
